A good sense of humor...you'll go far in life!

I'm 6'3" and ski on 178's; that goes up to the middle of my forehead.

Given the lesser sidecut of bump skis, I personally think that a little extra length is a good thing. I'd stick with the 170's.

thanks for the info jim,
i think im going to enjoy this forum. everyone seems like they are willing to help. no arguing here, unlike the 4x4 forum i belong to, you get flamed for not knowing the answer to 90% of the questions you ask.

We aim to please...good folks here.

And since you're into bumps like me, here's a site I think you'll be interested in too:

Those skis used in the olympics are way too much for regular bump skiers. I've had a few pairs of competition bump skis and they are too overwhelming.
Try a pair of Line twin tips. Skogans (sp?) and Darksides are GREAT bump skis. get 172s and forget they are twin tips. They are absolutely useless on the flats and you'll never carve a turn again on them but they sure are great in the bumps. Not too shabby in powder ether. it doesnt matter how they are on flats anyway...once you get hooked, flats are just a means to get to the bumps.

Veronika Bauer, Steve Omischl and Dmitri Dashinski all ski on them, too.

Janne Lahtela was on them last year and might still be on them. Several Japanese World Cup freestylers use them.
