So, I'm exploring a new northeast powder angle. Pico is closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Am I assured two days of pow accumulation on Thursday, or is it all groomed out?

Pico is a small family mountain. Most days they only run two liftts. Sometimes they don't run the summit chair. No one ever wants to ski there. There is a small group of people that even ski there on cross country skis.

Now that everyone's had the "funny" answers: No, they don't. I'd say: 75% of the Greens, 60% of the Blues, 25-30% of the Diamonds. Very little by Outpost is groomed, 49er is always groomed.

I don't think they've run Outpost this year. 0% groomed.

The groomers live in the barn next to the Snowdon quad at Killington. They send a couple up the pipeline trail every night to groom Pico. There are no groomers at all on Monday and Tuesday nights.

Depends on what trails you are thinking of skiing. 49er is groomed as is almost everything off the Golden Express. I don't know what POWDR and company is doing, but ASC groomed only a few runs. Outpost, if it is open, has all bumps, as does the Little Pico Triple. A Slope is sweeettttt!!!!

i do not think they run the old pico triple anymore, and you are lucky if you catch the outpost. although it is not a far hike to get those goods.

some great natural terrain over by outpost.

they started checking tickets at the summit express last week due to people driving up to almost the top of little pico and just hiking over to the summit express to get around buying a ticket.

the outpost hasn't loaded this year yet. There's usually two groomers at the base near the maintenance garage. I don't know if those two do the whole mountain on two shifts or if they drive more machines over from killington via the hershey highway nightly. I don't know if those groomers sit at pico on their down days. I haven't been there when it's closed yet

I was going to say that Pico, in the ASC years, used to have two groomers sitting at the Pico base area and if more were needed they came up over the Alpine Pipeline.
