tough call

Sorry, no personal experience with these folks. It seems alittle pricey for 20 min but that's your decision. I have three kids and if they thought it was ok to quit early at Burke and are somewhat excited about going dogsledding I would do it. Bet you have a great time and dogsled dogs are sweethearts to meet.

It would be great for "show and tell" on Monday. Do they even do "show and tell" anymore?

Expensive? At $teaux they want $145 for 2 adults for an hour!

My kids are too old for show and tell. The younger ones still do "sharing" time once a week.

The dog owners wrote me back and said they only want to run the dogs first thing in the AM. By early March the dogs will overheat!

Dogsled rides can be expensive, but so are sleigh rides. From what I hear, it's a great experience. I'll soon have first hand knowledge though as the wife said she's going to buy me a ride for Valentine's Day from a local outfit.

I have a sleddog and can attest to the fact that they are sweethearts. They love attention and have an endless desire to work and to please. It's amazing how a collection of hyper and fidgety dogs (all howling, yipping, and pacing around) meld into a well-oiled machine once the sled is underway.

Have fun, and give us a trip report when you get back.

my only advice is call before you go, there ain't much snow up here! once we have some snow, that looks like a fun family activity off the slopes.

Hmm. So what do you suggest for apre-ski activities for munchkins and teens? Bear Den Lounge?

Montshire Museum

The Montshire Museum in Norwich, Vt is an amazing place for kids. Probably would only work if you went south on I91. It's about 10 miles north of Hanover/West Leb.

The Fairbanks Museum is a AMAZING place as was suggested. For kids, I would avoid the Planitarium Show tho, it informative but a total snooze. This is your only warning.

hope you have a great time.
