If the first doesn't get you, the second one will. If that doesn't work, they have a nice little present ready to drop on you.

Landing exercise on a Korean highway.
:-o eek!

Are we talking about Korea or Taiwan? I was in Korea in 2007 and thought the traffic enforcement was extremely lax.

I've been to Korea a few times...

never drove - took buses everywhere... But at least in Seoul - things seemed to be relatively calm.. Walking to work in the morning was always tough... Lot's of long walk/dont walk signs.. And you can get a ticket for jaywalking..

Taiwan was WAY worse because of all the scooters everywhere... insanity.. Saw a guy break down in traffic and had to stand there waiting for a break to get the scooter off the road.. He was out there a while.. crazy...

imo, they are psyching out their neighbors to the north. meaning if you ( the north koreans) have the ability to get through our defenses and destory our airbases, our pilots are more than capable of landing on a make shift runway... meaning the highway. And we can launch attacks from here.

iirc, we did exercises similar to this in the 50's to spook out the Russians during the height of the cold war.

edit...ok, it's the twaiwan airforce, so they are doing this to psych out the mainlanders. It said something to that effect in the youtube vid site.

I was in the Air Guard for six years in the civil engineering squad and we used to have to do bare base deployments and runway setups in desolate areas (practice)... you'd be surprised how rudimentary the runways can get.

..

wish more people would in Boston. Population of the city is terrible in how they walk out into traffic and ignore the walk/don't walk signs for pedestrian crossing.

Definitely Taiwan, a Taiwan flag goes by at 11 seconds, and there are palm trees. Also it looks like an airfield, with hangars and a wind sock.

In which case they're also just psyching out their neighbors, only this time it's the ROC rather than North Korea.
