I was watching that on The Golf Channel yesterday, and he held his nerves in check pretty nicely coming down the stretch, especially with all the water in play on those final holes!

Yup, the dudes (obviously) darn good---he played in the Hogan Tour for a few years right out of college. If you were watching you can appriciate this---he backed off his putt on the 18th which he knew he needed to make to avoid a playoff. I thought it was because of all the ants running thru his line---NOPE, he told me it was becasue he couldn't even get his putter to move back. All he could think of was he was only 4 ft away from playing in a major and his body locked. He's the type of player that COULD make the cut at the PGA if he just can turn his brain off.

I know all too well about that brain getting in the way of the swing thing! I went out this afternoon for 9 holes, ahead of the approaching line of t-storms. I was thinking more about getting off the course BEFORE I got electrocuted than I was thinking about my swing and shot a real easy even par 35 which could have been a 32 or 33 if I had made any of the 4 sub 10 foot birdie putts I missed. That stupid brain thing is sometimes WAYYY overrated ;)

First of all, This is an amazing accomplishment!!!
The level that they play at is almost ..............well, its berzerk!

Kudos to Eric!!!!

Second, I read the blog, and was exceptionally impressed to see one of our local pros, someone I'm acquainted with but don't know personally, won the tournament!!!
The tournament was won by Scott Hebert, of Traverse City, Mich., with a 12-under 276 total, including a final-round 68. He won $75,000, an exemption into the next five PPNCs, a spot on the 2009 PGA Cup Team and exemptions into six PGA Tour events over a 12-month period.
Huge Kudos goes out to Scott!!!
Wow!
