Elk 3/20

Got up early and made it for opening bell. Could be the last day for Elk. Got a primo ski-on ski-off spot in the upper lot. Things were a bit firm in the shadows for the first hour or so, but anywhere the sun touched the ground it softened up very quickly, and by the time I left at 12:30 the majority of the groomed terrain was butter. Great day. On my way out I noticed the lots had filled up nicely and there were a lot of cars in the lower lots. I also saw what looked like some good tailgating going on in the passholder lot at the base of the quad.

And thus concludes my 2011 ski season.
