Heading up the ending weekend of President's week. Are most people who are doing a week of skiing with school vacations leaving that Friday or should I expect a mob scene on Saturday/Sunday?

I'm also headed to Sugarbush on that Monday after....assuming it'll be very nice then, hopefully getting a refresh button from mother nature.

If anyone has suggestions on a place to eat that weekend at stowe without a terrible crowd, please PM me. I would really appreciate it.

Great Bars at Stowe

On a side note for that weekend, any great bars for evening shenanigans? Aka, like The Rusty Nail at Stowe?

Also, any big events (races, competitions, or cool stuff off-mountain) happening?

My observation is that many people peter out by about Thursday. I think they just tire themselves out (or empty their wallet), I don't know., but there are fewer people on the slopes. Maybe they are downtown shopping... But then you'll get the regular weekend crowd (except for the passholders and other coups that are still blacked out.) I'd agree that the latter half of the week is the better half. But don't get your hopes too far up. There will still be lines, just not as bad.

That following Monday will be a delight from a crowding perspective, but the primary slopes, in general, (presuming no refresh) will be kinda beat up. A few inches of snow would fix that though. You could get lucky. Let's hope so!

Yea, I'm hoping we get some more snow up North for that weekend. It'll be nice to have some uncrowded woods. It'll only be my 3rd day at the 'bush, so lots of exploring to do.

Also exploring a bit more of Stowe, last time I was pretty lame and didn't venture off too much.....this time I'll have someone with me that I can trust and head deeper into the woods. Maybe get lucky and find a nice local to show me the ropes....
