More face shots in one run today than I have had in my entire life. Turn-POOF-Turn-POOF-Turn-POOF!!! Repeat, repeat again, and keep on repeating for more runs than I can recall. Complete powder room many times. Impossible to ski anything less than a black diamond until it had at least a few tracks. Well over two feet and all lifts ran all day. The first tram actually didn't even bump but it start honking at the top by 10am. Unreal.

How were the road conditions on I-93?
From Ashland to the Notch in the AM, not too bad. Much better than expected. I think I drove 45ish most of the way there. Got to the notch and it was complete white out. I had to keep an eye on the guard rail to know where to drive. Then I got to the height of land and Cannon and the weather improved considerably. On the way home, roads were much worse but I still held an average speed of 40mph. A state plow had to push a tractor trailer truck up through the notch on the northbound side. Roads should remain show covered straight through tomorrow I would imagine. Conditions will only improve once the wind stops.

what are the base depths now on the mountain? - given all this snow of the light variety I'm wondering about woods and kinsman glade specifically. crazy.

Everything is open except Kinsman and Tramline. Bravo to patrol for their call as I was still hitting rocks and stumps in Mushroom. Given that... Kinsman definitely does not have enough base. The rest of the trees ripped. Twice through Echo after Zoomer and Paulie's started getting tracked.... Oh My!!! Not a good place for face shots. :-o

Wow sounds amazing!!!! I made the mistake of driving back to MA from WV last night thinking that more snow would fall down in MA over NH.... Guess I was wrong.... Glad to hear that you got out and got it!!! Heading back up there on Wednesday and will likely hit Cannon on Thursday! How did some of the secret stashes look? Still need more base or good to go? Can't wait to read the full report on your site.

I'm trying to decide between Magic and Cannon tomorrow ... I know Cannon does OK in NW winds like today and as forecast for tomorrow but I think winds may be less of an issue at Magic, farther from the departing low. Personally I don't care as long as the lifts spin but I'll be with my boys so would prefer to avoid extremes.
