Favorite Base Lodge

Lodge

Although I may never return to it, my favorite lodge would be the Snowbird pressed concrete lodge. It's hard to say why considering its very simple and modern construction. Maybe it would be the German Chocolate cake or the evergreens in the >>backyard<<, but I loved the place dearly. Not that the Alta base lodge isn't worth visiting. Nevertheless, the Snowbird base lodge seems to be the only place one can find peace and quiet with a little space in the Little Cottonwood.

Best Lodge Taxidermy:

Bobcat (they have 15 heads of deer, one Elk, a pheasant, a huge brown trout, and one Bobcat). It's awesome.

I bet Bromley has a better collection of dusty taxidermy head mounts of deer, elk, goats and sheep, though Bobcat may have more stuffed birds, fish and cats.
I stayed in this lodge in Hungerburg outside of Innsbruch, Austria for a week. You ski Hefelkefar from it. There is a vernicular which runs from Innsbruck to this village. The lodge has more stuffed and mounted heads than I have ever seen. (I have seen a lot.) Not only that the women that run it, (all natives), are quite robust.
