Im leaning towards Utah. Snowbird, Alta, and others. Jackson Hole and Big Sky are right up there too. What do you all think. Utah or Wyoming/Montana? I want to go where the snow is. Jackson Hole is getting pounded as I type this. 3-4 feet. I am happy for them.

Jackson and Targhee seem to be getting the snow but they also have a bunch of people that track it out in a hurry. Big Sky and Moonlight might not have as much, but it seems to last longer. That's just my observation ...

Jackson Hole usually closes first week of April.

Edit: April 8th this year.

And for what it's worth, I went to Utah April 1-12th in 2010. 95 inches in five days at the tops of the Big and Little Cottonwood, it was unreal. Less at Basin, Powder, and The Canyons but not much.

I was thinking about JH first week and Big Sky the second week. I cant resist the Utah snow potential for that time of the year though. :daffy: And the Snowbird $200 spring pass.

Big Sky closes the 15th.

Love Big Sky. If you've never been I highly recommend it.

My picture is from Lone Peak with Yellowstone Club in the background. I love Big Sky. Best place ever if you factor in Moonlight Basin. Its so hard for me to pass it up. No one will be there at all. No one ever is. They have had a decent snow year in terms of how crappy things have been this year.

SLC, JH and Big Sky are all within striking distance of each other.

Just fly to SLC and you can hit whichever that happens to have the best condition.

Deals for April skiing are plentiful and the slopes will be deserted regardless of where you go. Why book things five, six weeks out? Just wait and see who is the beneficiary of March snowstorms and go there.

Thats the plan. I'll wait awhile to see where it snows.
