Sorry to hear. Hope you get better fast, and it should be in time for what hopefully we'll be the peak of the season.

The pain on my fingers sucks too. I can't have my hands exposed in the cold for more than 20 seconds before feeling the sting of frozen fingers. Buddy of mine was fixing his goggles atop Stowe yesterday gloveless for prob 5 minutes - I just watched and realized that I'd never be able to do that again without being in serious pain. I perpetually have my liners on now.

That sux. BTW how do you get frostbite on your toe? Being in a boot and all I thought exposed areas (nose, cheeks) were more susceptible. Boot MUCH too tight?

Very, very cold out plus my boot cuts off circulation to my toes. I should have unbuckled on the lifts more often, but my feet had no pain after the first few runs. I kind of knew it was because my feet were frozen but I just wasn't thinking.

damn, that sucks, sorry to hear. saturday was damn cold, but i had no idea your feet were that frosty.

I didn't either. I didn't even notice on the ride to back to your house. Once I got in my car I noticed my foot was still numb and I starting freaking out.

Aw man, that sucks Austin. I just got my skins in too. Well, maybe by the time your up and able again, there will be enough snow for an epic tour up Wa's auto road. I'm contemplated attempting the summit without oxygen. Now THAT would be crazy.

Hopefully there will be snow when I get back. Anyway, I will be back for prime touring season, march and april. Touring keeps my feet nice and toasty.

About the frostnib: I think I got that about half my days so far this season, I just didn't think anything of it. :dunce:

I think I've been blessed with good circulation in my feet and hands because I've skied some cold days and never have had a problem. I do unbuckle the bottom 3 buckles for every lift ride though.

Man that sux. A guy on the bus trip to Mount Snow got a bad case of it all over his face and nose. there where areas that where black. No one but my wife and I noticed it and alerted the tour operator. The look on his face said it all. Minus 40 at the top is nasty weather to play with. Get better then get back out there. i think this winter is here to stay.
