Sugarloaf reported about 8 inches of new snow from yesterdays storm. No bad for April 30th!

So Ski Patrol is saying it's more like eight inches up there at the top of the SuperQuad, and they're checking out trails as we speak, and they've already opened up everything from Tote Road to Sluice, including trails like Narrow Gauge and Spillway. Sun is still out and it's looking like a sweet late April powder day! Come on up and grab some powder at the only open resort in the east!

Wow. My golf league starts this afternoon but this morning I was thinking that I was already starting to miss skiing. The pics really didn't help. Great pics and it looks like great conditions.

I wonder why it is that the loaf tends to get more April snow than anywhere else in New England

Does Sugarloaf average more April snow than Stowe(Mount Mansfield)??? Mount Washington??? I'm sure latitude has something to do with it...Scott PowderFreak Doppler 2k..where you at?

I'm pretty sure it does. April is second only to March in average snowfall. Considering they receive 200 inches a year, I'd imagine there April totals are impressive. I believe last year they got over ten feet in April

Sugarloaf received 107" of snow last April and we where there for about 60" of it. I can only imagine how much snow Saddleback probably got out of this.
