I have a pair of old (1988) K2 4400s and used them to death.

Any suggestions for snow-related projects to give them one last shot at life? I'm thinking sleds or some other kind of thing.

Thanks!

Arms for an adirondak chair. I know that it's not "snow" related but that would look cool!

Maybe use them for the BACK of an adirondack chair like the company skichair.com does... Got a pair or two that I may do that to.

I had a friend into ice fishing. He rigged up a chest on a pair of skis. He had something he used (I forget what) for risers to give the chest some ground clearance. Then he added some rope, and called it "The Unit". The thing stored everything, including the mini grill built onto a shelf on the back. It was one of the best uses of retired skis I've ever scene.

If you can't find a use, don't throw them away. I've been toying with building a dogsled for the pup in the avatar pic. $300-600 for an actual dogsled is a little hard to swallow.

Make a sled... 2x4 risers on each ski, attached with recessed screws on the bottom, plywood platform across the top. Drill a hole in each tip for steerage. Hang on tight, & make sure you have good health insurance!
