FSM and such. I've never experienced anything that could be construed as supernatural.

There's a joke in here somewhere involving goats, two tubes of KY, a turkey baster and a toaster oven. It's been a long day, though, and I'm having trouble getting to it.

I've heard of both the Warrens and Dudleytown. I'm not that much of a skeptic that I feel a need to go hunting down ghosts though. My brother's been to Dudleytown and tells me the place was weird and some strange shit happened. Yeah. Post the pics.

Nobody can go there now. No trespassing and they enforce it. But there was an English teacher at my high school who used to bring kids up there every year. Bad feelings around that place. Weird stuff that wiped out the settlement.

Anybody have any stories to add to this? Interesting thread....

The house where we used to live was creepy. The previous owner died there and every once in a while I'd hear footsteps in the attic. We lived on the 2nd floor and were the only ones who were supposed to be in the attic. Usually it was when I was home alone so I knew it wasn't that I heard someone else up there. That house had a creepy vibe to it. Where we live now...nothing. Thankfully.

Never had any personal experiences but I always watch Ghost Hunters on Sci-fi and A Haunting on Discovery. Come to think of it I took a picture of the NY regiment (Civil War) memorial in Manassas, VA and there was mist all around it when I got the picture back (pre-digital camera days). It was the site of one of the largest massacres of the civil war, but the mist could have been a camera anomaly, who knows.

This goes back a few years...

My friend and I both had the day off from our lifeguarding jobs, so we had decided to go get ripped at South Mountain Reservation (a common place for the yutes to get ripped). We were hiking behind the Girl Scout campground, off the west bound side of South Orange Ave for those familiar with the area. At one point, it had started to rain, but we were not done yet, so we tried to see if we could get into any of the cabins.

All of them were padlocked, except for one of them. The door was actually cracked, less then 1/8 of an inch. Well, try as we might, we can't get that door open any further than an inch. No matter how we pushed or kicked that door, we just couldn't get it to budge. The hinges appear to be rusted shut, and made a loud noise every time we made any "progress" opening the door.

We finally give up and decide to head back to the car. For some reason, as we were walking (we were maybe 10-15 feet from the cabin) I looked over my shoulder and see that the door is now W-I-D-E open. I turn white as all the blood has left my system.

My friend asks what's wrong with me. I point to the door and he's like  and I'm like
eek.gif
and then we're both like

. We bee-line it right to the car, as we're both incredibly spooked out. It was total fight or flight, and with out saying anything, we both came to the flight decision.

There's no freakin way that door could have opened with out us hearing anything and we could bearly move the sucker...and we were both pretty fit back then. To this day, I still get chills thinking about it, and I've never been hiking back there again.

also go up to Dudleytown wayyy up route 7 in Cornwall,.

Dudleytown is actually a cool spot in the winter to go X-C skiing. Most of it is state land and has marked state trails, so I don't see how it could be trespassing. Anyway if you follow the trails far enough it brings you out to a ridge line across from - Mt. Mohawk (ski area for those of you who aren't from these here about parts).
