Anyone have any opinions on the differences between these helmets? I've tried on the 9, 10 and the fuse and they feel great.
What would be the glaring differences between them? I don't need/want music when I ski.
Thanks in advance.

The main differce between them-

Giro 9- Has removeable vents to allow for cooling of the head. Removeable earpads. Sits higher on the head.

G10- Controllable vents(has a switch) makes it so you dont loose the vents when you take them out. Sits lower on the head. Removable ears. Fits a different head shape than the 9 or fuse.

Fuse- Very simular to the 9 except that it has a switch for the vents rather than taking the vents in and out.

Omen- 2 sets of controllable vents( front/rear), Adjustable sizing, meaning that they are a xs/s, and m/l. It then has a ratchet thing in the back to adjust the shape to your head, making a more persone fit. Channels are molded into the iner styrofoam to help with air flow.

These are the main differences that I can think of for the helmets. Personelly I cant comfortably wear a 9 or fuse, but the G-10 fits my head great. The Omen fits nicely too cause you can adjust it, but I dont feel like paying that much money. when I like the G-10.

I'm going to a G10 from a nine this season. In the nine, I was in between a medium and a large, but went with the large to be able to fit a thin balaclava I have underneath. It still felt slightly loose though and I found myself cranking down the chin strap to keep it snug. The Large G10 fits me perfectly. I think there's a bit more coverage too so I suspect it will be warmer. The sliding vent is a big thing for me as I lost my nine vents once (Giro was happy to replace them). I personally thought the Fuse was an ugly helmet with all those vents. I like the look of the G10 much better. Bottom line is you need to try them on to see what fits best. Giro does make a nice light helmet all around though.

Thank you very, very much. I really liked the way the 9 and the fuse felt, and I found a fuse for 85.00 on ebay... gonna go pick that up now. :D

Poop. Fuse was gone, found a G10 for 89 bux. Seems like a really good deal. At least it's comfy and has good ventilation. Thanks for the input, I'll be the one with the bright pink helmet...

I have the G10 with visor and find it a great helmet. Has kept me sane (and maybe alive) in some wild crashes too! It is also warm and very light, plus the visor keeps excess snow/sun out of my eyes, and looks badass too!

I have the 9 - it's awesome. I have a huge head and it was the only helmet that didn't make my head look like a bowling ball. It's warm, vented when i need it to be and so far it has done a great job when my head bounces off boilerplate.

i got a Giro 9 about 4 years ago and it has been fantastic.. i bought it for the sole purpose of getting a cheap helmet, and the value i got was fantastic, ans its so warm. Yes the lack of adjustable vents is a little annoying, but you get used t it.

After talking to the giro rep, and she informed me that all Giro helmets are single impact, meaning that with a hard fal the foam is designed to break apart and spread out the energy, i decided to get a new one. Im going with the Matte black OMEN. its a combonation of their 2 shell technologies, and the adjustable ratchet makes it a great fit. Not sure if i would spent 199 on it, but getting a little discount was what won me over
