Need your opinion whether it's worth heading up to Stowe for a Friday ski tomorrow. I've already got a voucher, and a place to stay, but I'm almost inclined to hold back and hope for better conditions another Friday this season. I'd hate to burn up a vacation day and a tix voucher, then again, I'd sure like to ski.

Further rain may hold off, but with LFGR conditions, and the only trails open are snowmaking blues/greens, I am hesitant.

Any gambler prognosticators on future weather trends?

Sugarbush and MRG are both offering 1/2price tix.
MRG reports “a lot of water on the mtn”, SB is closing the tops of the mtns to make snow for the weekend.
I suspect that Stowe will working hard for better weekend conditions and that perhaps Friday will look more like a “construction zone” so-to-speak.
Stowe in their arrogance is continuing to charge full price. Leaning more toward the go-to-work-day scenario...

I would save a day until later. Looks like maybe snow Friday night and Sat and Maybe Monday again. Colder weather is moving down. Feb-May are going to be great. Well thats my story and I'm sticking to it.

How could the best not be ahead of us? Despite some good skiing early this season has really tanked. :snow:

Just got this from MRG:

"Greetings!
"It's really remarkable that this weather event actually improved conditions. Last night brought 3" of fresh SNOW to the top of the Mountain! Miraculously, we lost no snow and yesterday's slush has turned to crust and pasted itself to the mountain. The skiing is really very good...especially considering this past week's weather. and there is some fresh powder to be found in places. Today we will run the Sunnyside Double, the Practice Slope, and Callie's Corner Handle Tow, with skiing on 23 trails. We do plan on running the SINGLE tomorrow!
"KEEP THINKING SNOW!"

Hope this is true. Maybe a trip north this weekend won't be so bad.
