A huge thankyou to the Camelback PA management. We requested more attention to mogul skiing and they have responded favorably. This past weekend featured great bumps on The Asp, some bumps on Cliffhanger, and the usual lower angle moguls on Lower Cleopatra.

The bumps on Cliffhanger will be leveled tonight for a J-3 race next Sunday. In talking with management the plan is to get them up again after the race and with the next good snowmaking window. They have the new low energy guns on this trail and mountain ops are really impressed.. Look for 1/2 groomed and 1/2 bumped. My personal feeling is this trail will rival Tunnkanock (Sp ?) at Elk Mt for some mighty good bump skiing come springtime. I am very pleased by the customer service.

I hope for sometime in early March (after hopefully some more cold and SNOW) for a good spell of warmer weather to hit the trio of Blue, Elk, and Camelback on an extended weekend. Not bad for the Pocono's.

Camelback is always getting good remarks for quality customer service. Comping all PA passholders for the last two weeks of the season last year after everyone shut down was awesome.

The trails at Camelback do. I skied Asp last Friday night and the lighting wasn't too bad and actually good at the top. This is coming from someone who is not that big a fan of skiing under the lights. Haven't skied Cliffhanger at night in a long time so not sure yet what that will be like. Cleo bumps are low angle so that any surprises aren't too hairy.

Camelback's exposure is directly north. Near the solictise the trails that drop down the face get no sun at all. As of yesterday those trails (Cliffhanger and Asp) are starting to get good sunlight from about 11 - 1. Of course this will lengthen as the season progresses.

Thanks Alex!

Hoping I can make it out for some weekday night sessions during Feb and March when my boss is out of town!
