Headed to Killington Wed. Stoked about the snow thats fallen, Psyched for the snow that may fall late week, but what about the rain/freezing rain thats forecast? I know they should get about 2" before the FR/R starts. How do the ski areas deal with this? Do they groom extra good? Do they make snow the next chance? Or do they just sit and be bummed?

If it doesn't rain or sleet for too long (more than .25-.50"), the groomers can usually deal with it. I was at Sunday River a few years ago and after a 50*F night with about 2" of sideways rain, the next day it was perfect packed powder conditions. Hard to believe it but it happened.

Killington should be good early, but if there's a big crowd it can get skied off by early afternoon. Get there early and you should be fine......have fun ........

Thanks. We are getting there Wed. Night so figure we will have Thur, Fri Am. Before it gets too crazy. However, I have never been to "Kmart". Whatever happens it will be ok, I have 2 buddies from Tn. and one from Fla. As long as they don't run out of beer and we see grass spots, it will have a blast.
