I managed to leave work "on time" on Tuesday- it was only 7.15 before I was out the door. Last night it was 8.45.

Oops. Didn't know about this. Got to work at 8 and left at 5:30p, no lunch break per usual, so 9.5 hours worked and 1.5 hours beyond "schedule".

The concept of a "leave work early day" blows my mind. What is someone trying to prove by doing that? If you don't want to work the hours you work either A) don't work those extra hours or B) find another job. Perhaps an hourly job. You can't pry overtime out of any companies cold dead hands these days. Ya have to be a cop to get overtime now. LOL.

I get in at 8 and leave at 4. However, I continue to answer emails and have con calls thru the evening. I do not feel guilty one bit. I say fire me. Please!!!!!!!

I work from my home and my car. Day is 8:30 to 6:30 pretty much. People are often envious that I don't work in an office, until they see me excuse myself from the couch during Sunday afternoon football and spend an hour on the phone. sales......

but the worst thing is, no sick days/powder days when you work from home. Only time I can be fully off is a scheduled vacation day.

I've been working on a mobile application startup so I've been pretty much working non stop. Yesterday I worked 18 hours, definitely one of the longer days. From 8AM yesterday to 2AM this morning.

8 - 5 on my day job. Drive home. Then 6 - 2AM on the mobile app. I literally have been working 80 - 90 hours a week for about 3 months now..... but it doesn't feel like work. I love working on the mobile app startup with my friend / business partner so it's enjoyable... plus it helps there is no snow on the ground to keep me distracted :) Sun? Pschhhh

Although I am going to South Carolina for 2 weeks this summer and a good thing about being in IT is I can bring my laptop down there, so I am going for 2 weeks but only taking a week's vacation. I'm going to work one week from South Carolina (by the pool).
