Anyone been before? I was thinking of hitting this on my way back south on Sat or Sun. I see the competition starts at noon each day, anyone know how long it goes on for? Will I be able to get a decent view of the action if I arrive late? Is it possible to pop in for 30 minutes to see a few jumps? Or is it a big time consuming hassle to find a place to park, walk to the entrance, find a spot to watch, etc ? https://harrishillskijump.com/

I'm sure that Glenn with chime in on this, as I know that he and his wife have been in years past and I think are planning on attending at some point this weekend....

Jeff is on the money! We've gone for the past 6 or so? It's a really fun event. I can't stress how amazing it is to see this live vs. on TV.

This is tagged in the URL as 2017, but it looks to be the 2018 schedule: https://harrishillskijump.com/2017-schedule-information/

I can't remember exactly how long each round lasts. We are usually there for a couple of hours. You could certainly slide in and see a few jumps. Just prepare to park outside of the venue if you get there around noonish. It all depends on the weather and attendance, but the lot at the base of the hill can fill up. There's parking offsite and they'll shuttle you in. It just takes a bit of time. Even with us getting there early, we park in a small lot just up from Cedars street on Rt. 30 and then walk in. It's not too bad of a walk. We bring folding chairs and a backpack. There are a ton of vendors there selling food, beer and some businesses giving out samples. It's a fun atmosphere. We have Harris Hill Cow Bell and bring that with us to ring at the run out. We usually sit on the right side of the run out (if you are facing the jump). There are stairs you can climb and you can get somewhat close to the ramp and watch the jumpers as they launch. That's pretty incredible.

Any questions, let me know.

Really good time on Saturday. It was sunny until 12:30ish? We saw some really good jumps. One guy went 104 meters, but landed flat and needed help getting off the hill. Really hope he’s ok.

This is such a cool event to see in person. We make it a point to go yearly.

A few pics.

IMO this and the and the Toboggan Championships in Camden, ME are two of the best non-professional sporting events in the country. Harris Hill is not to be missed!

Thanks for posting the pictures, looks like a great time. Unfortunately I did not leave Pico early enough on Sunday to make it. Hopefully next year...

It's nice to see events like this that still take place. This one is going on 100 years. Quite a tradition.
