This may just be the ticket with gourmet cooking to boot! Thanks for the offer, snoseek. Visiting Maine soon?

I was going to for the holidays but decided not to last month. I really want to come back around the fourth of July or so-I still have a free RT voucher that I need to use before next Sept. If I did come back in the spring I would most certainly bring my skis.

I honestly don't feel like I miss anything. I ski new places every year and am still exploring my immediate area. What will get me out there is the fact that all my good friends are moving there one by one. I'm sure one of these springs I'll pack the truck up and go check it out. Then I'll prolly move there as well.

don't know until you go...you're missing a lot.

I can't afford to ski in VT let alone out West.

I used to think that way. Most of my friends who have never gone out west think that way too-in economic terms. Also used to think that there was enough variety and unexplored mountains in the east coast to make going out west unnecessary. boy was I wrong.

I ski the east because I live here and that all fine but skiing the bigger mountains out west, in south america and Europe is an investment in your soul. there is a cost but it;s worth it.

not to say that west is best by default. all skiing is good to me. it is just different though and should be experienced.

Not enough to justify the expense. I am a fully satisfied skiier. When I want for more, I'll be getting it.
I think alot of people go looking for stuff that is right under their nose. Good snow, good crew, fun lines.
But I do speak out of complete ignorance, so don't burst my bubble. I barely hold it together as it is w/o an overwhelming need to "go out west".
