Stratton is the most lenient mountain when using ski club cards

Used to be with Ski VT. passes also, they'd check off a different mountain so can use another coupon to ski again at Stratton. Don't know if that's still true because I've noticed most areas scan the coupons now & don't even need to check off that you've already skied an area, the scanner already knows.

You could join a CSC club and the dues + the discounted ticket would still be a good deal over the walk-up price.

Wow, lots of folks headed there!
Hopefully we can all meet up for some turns and a few beers.

I'll keep an eye out for the both of you.
I'm Ray, BTW.

I'll be wearing a black helmet (AZ stickers on the sides and back), dark blue (nearly black) jacket, tan pants, and orange atomic skis w/ mismatched poles.

Dos the Sunrise Express lift run first thing in the morning? If so, I'll definitely be parking there and avoiding the whole village thing.

Wow... Lots of AZers there Sunday. My wife and I will be there as well. We will be using our ski vt cards which need to be redeemed at Guest Services. Is there a GS office at the sunbowl base? I'd like to avoid the shuttle if I can.

I'll be there as well, but I have a season pass so i am there pretty often. I know its not the most popular mountain on these boards so its interesting to see so many people planning on skiing there at once. There is a guest services at the sunbowl so you should be set to start from there Savemesammy.

I am trying to decide on Pico or Magic tomorrow to use one of my SkiVT passes, but the winds have me concerned about Pico, and the crowds have me concerned about Magic.

^unless there is a race at Magic, I don't think I'd sweat it.

Test Pilot is still narrow at the first entrance but better further down, Many glades and lots of fun with great cover now.

Also West Pilot is open and new this year. Two entrances off of Work Road, almost as long as Test Pilot but not as much pitch.

I think I am going to switch my plans though and go to Stratton tomorrow and then Pico on Sunday when there should be some fresh snow.

Sunday is not listed on either Metro nor NJ list. (and I'm not a member of CSC unfortunately).
ABC I verified with the NJ Ski Council that yes your council sticker will be honored. The CT. Ski Council puts out the most comprehensive list of ski club appreciation days but the appreciation days are not limited to only clubs belonging to their council. It's the ski areas that offer these discounts not the CT. Council & they're offered to all councils not just CT. Your Metro or NJ ski council sticker is good. Have fun. I'll be in VT. for a few days during the week.

I'm curious to hear how lines were today.

I wonder if the timing of this storm will keep the masses from heading up from the flatlands in the morning - or if will bring them out in droves...?!

I tried going to Stratton today but all summit lifts except URSA were on windhold when I got there at 10am. I waited it out a bit in the Sunbowl, but the lines became horrendous, the worst lines I have ever seen in the east. After three runs on just the lower mountain I decided to look at my phone to see how Bromley was doing and they reported all lifts open. So I bailed on Stratton and went to Bromley for the afternoon using one of my Ski VT tickets. Afternoon ended up being awesome, barely any wait on the Sun Mountain Express and it started dumping around 2pm. Last hour was fantastic.

I would expect lines tomorrow to be very bad at Stratton considering everyone there is probably frustrated after today, and add in the ski club day. I am going to evaluate the storm in the morning before I make a final decision, but I will probably go to Pico on my last Ski VT ticket.

Didn't make Stratton. Stayed at mr snow. Glades where off the hook. Easy foot plus in the trees of light blower pow. Never left trees
One of the best days ever. U could ski anything and everything with abandon. Lot of hooting going on.
Wow! I'm still fired up . gonna be good dreams tonight
