After 10 days in a rew skiing Blue, I'm in the mood for a little more variety and challenge so I'm planning on heading to Vermont Friday afternoon. Hopefully I can get Monday off work to ski three days. I'm thinking I'll stay in Rutland the first night and Stowe the next two nights. I'll post more details as the week progresses and maybe I can meet up with some AZers

The UVM racers buzz by me like I'm standing still..must be the wax..I'm hoping that the Wednesday/Thursday storm delivers for VT followed by wraparound moisture on the backside.

I'll be at either Killington or Burke Friday. Likely Killington.

I'm thinking of the money that a midseason three day/3 night impromptu ski trip is going to cost. I want to see how inexpensive I can do it while still staying in decent hotels. It will likely mean staying in Rutland or Burlington but that gives me more choices. A night skiing session at Bolton Valley isn't out of the question. Blue mountain season passholders get a free Stowe card. I need to call Stowe to confirm the details but the website said that yesterday 2/14 was blacked out for cardholder discounts but this Sunday 2/21 is just non-holiday..so my lift ticket will be $59 instead of $89. A one day ticket at Jackson Hole is $87 but there are much better deals on multidays..but $89 for Stowe seems like alot..and then Monday I'm thinking about skiing Mad River Glen..it's convenient for the drive home since I can take 17 West to NY and cruise home on 87/287/78/33/22..going 67 in a 65...

im at stowe on sunday then dwon to stratton on monday and magic on tuesday

cool..there's a good chance I'll be skiing Stowe Sunday..I'm going to make a couple phone calls and see if I can score any good lodging deals. Town and Country in Stowe has a room on the end with just one bed and small TV..with mini-fridge and microwave..that I scored for $50 a night two years ago but that was in April.

Looks like you will be at Stowe on Sunday, but if not, I'm at Burke on Saturday, Sugarbush on Sunday. Likely Mount Ellen.

The best I could get in Stowe was $97 a night at the Town and Country resort so I'm staying there Saturday and Sunday nights..includes breakfast but they don't serve breakfast until 730AM..so I won't get to enjoy it..as that's when the quad opens..

My Stokelevel is rising!!!! Anybody want to set up a meeting time at Stowe on Sunday? I need to play Saturday by ear as Friday afternoon/evening I will be driving to wherever got the deepest snow. It could be Gore or Killington or Sugarbush..I'm saving Stowe for Sunday so I can save $30 on a lift ticket with my Stowe card..and Monday is almost for sure Mad River Glen..lift tickets are a meager $39 on weekdays vs. $60 on weekends..
