We'd expect no less from you Marc. ;)

For the record the certificate is insanely easy to get, you just need to suffer through a few hours of class...

Not sure about other states, but did some research on NJ and found that that certificate is something new and not even required until 2009 for someone like me. I say someone like me, becuase it is age depentent on when you must have it.

I don't remember the specifics, and I'm too lazy to look it up, but in CT you need a certificate to pilot pretty much all (if not all) motorized vessel (including PWCs). When I took the class 6 years ago I remember the instructor saying that CT was one of the most strict states in the area though.

The forcast call for a high of 102 degrees by me today. Funny, I don't remember moving to Arizona

Arizona is NO WAY this HUMID...thats the killer on the East Coast...especially northeast...Makes us WAY TOO HOT in the summer and super frigid temps in the winter..darned water content in the air....I was just thinking this morning how the air just felt wet...even to breathe..

I can tell you it's killing me! I feel like a puppy trapped in a hot car (at least what I think a puppy must feel like). What a time not to be on my allergy meds! I can't start anything new for a few more days. They want to make absolutely certain that my problems last weekend were caused by that med. I took a ride yesterday to escape the heat. I took my niece to see Pirates of the Caribbean, so that was air conditioned and helped.

We have work crews laboring in this intense heat all day long standing on asphalt at temps well north of 270 degrees! Lots of water is the rule of thumb. We also have one guy who stands on the back of one of our asphalt spray trucks and makes sure all 28 nozzles spray evenly. He has to wear a respirator and a protective body suit all day long. As hot as it is, it could always be worse. :)

There's a guy weedwacking across the street from our building...he's been out there all day.

I just went over and asked him to take a break inside our lobby; the guy's face was ashen and he looked ready to go down. He jumped at the opportunity and after some cold water and a little coolness, he looked alot better.

Let's all look after the elderly, the very young, and pets unitl this passes.

We've got some thunderstorms rolling through right now...so the humidity should be going away soon. If they havent gotten to you yet, they will at some point!

As of 9 PM we have not had any t-storms but the temperature has dropped considerably and it is quite a relief. Tomorrow looks like a nice day with temps 10-20 degrees lower than they were today. I have to go into Worcester tomorrow so I hope it is a little cooler, although the car has great AC.
