Salomon XWave 10s in a Mondo 30.5. Big feet certainly suck when it comes to ski boots, both in terms of the weight and also length issues when climbing a boot pack. Thankfully the GRides are only around 10ish

We did our climbing at Killington today in ski boots, with the ski's on my shoulders. Honestly this is about how 50% of the people hiking up did it today. I would like to get a pack next year to have the gear on my back, but this trip was a spur of the moment thing, with little time to obtain the proper gear.

It was okay, nothing that I would drive to ski again, unless you are really desperate for turns. By next week, Superstar will probably be in three sections, with rapidly melting cover except for the headwall and the lower section which probably have 4-6' + of base.

The lower patch on Outer Limits is quite deep with 6' in many places.

This is something I use on the bottom of my ski boots while walking around, mostly because it's a PITA to get/make new soles for 20 year old boots (That and sliding on ice in the parking lot isn't fun), but they would probably help with climbing in ski boots a lot, they just clip to the bottom of the boot.

i could swear you've said you turned 15 sometime this year. Are you really skiing on boots made before you were even alive?

Correct, and yes....strange as it may sound. They were my dad's (He has the same size foot as me), and they fit me incredibly well, so until they wear out, and I can't find another pair, I'll continue to use them. (Boots are Nordica NR981's).
