I did not know what the PSIA style was nor did I ever strive for it.
Definitely trying for the slow, controlled approach. I took on the challenge of learning to ski moguls late in life (40), so the zipper line approach doesn't seem too prudent.

the ski instructors with their slow graveful moves get in the way of the true bumpers..
another myth.....
I've seen the freestyle coach at sunnapee go down the bumps real slow. She teaches several levels, for the beginners she does that purposely to show proper technique.

the coach is a she and she does kick @ss. She was rippin it down; real slow for the new kids and going at competition speed for the older kids.
