I've been looking at the alpinezone stats for Stowe and it says 48 trails. I go to Stowes site and it says 88 open-80%

Does Stowe have 111 trails??

in 06-07 Stowe had 48 trails and in 07-08 they had 100something..it's because they broke off trails into trail sections...see Stowe has about the same amount of skiable terrain as Sugarbush but the bush had 100+ trails so on paper..Stowe looked like it was less than half as big..

Blue mountain has 30 something trails

They jumped the shark and joined the club of trail mis-reporting last year. While Okemo, Mt. Snow, Stratton, Sunday River etc, have over the years bumped their trail count up to 100+; Stowe held out true to a realistic 48. Joe Skier likes stats and Stowe was losing the marketing battle.

Stowe recognizes anyone who skied all the trails at both Mansfield and Spruce Mountains. We did it several years ago in support of a friend who had cancer. When you completed the challenge you became a member of the " Great 48 Club ". Frankly I am sorry to see Stowe bow to the pressure of mis-reporting its trail count. I thought I could always count on them to uphold the " tradition".
