Ha ha, I don't dare count. I added my condo payment and my fees to start and I need a 2nd job. I don't like this thread. ouch.

I'm with you, Bob and I don't even have a family yet. Yikes!

As for the current season I figure I spent in the neighborhood of $3000, that included new skis and poles, plus my son's season equipment lease, my wife's lift tickets etc. and our 4 day trip to Bromley.

I didn't track fuel, which is, needles to say, a significant expense. Other than that, I bought a pair of Dukes and I had to pay $20 for a ticket at Cannon last week. Oh. My patrol registration was something like $55.

On the flip side, almost all of my skiing this season was in uniform. Not that I'm complaining.

If I reach that point, then my pre-season hypothesis about gas prices equaling my ticket costs will be proved correct.

That has pretty much been the case for me. Maybe a little bit less. Pretty much been an average of $25 per tickets per day and right around $20 per day for gas. My last three planned trips of the season will be over $30 though in fuel.

I don't know what I spent on the season, but I know I saved a ton of money because everything I spent money on, was a bargain!!!
On gear alone, I saved over $3000.00!!

I know I am well over a $1000 just in gas and tolls ... gear cost I don't even want to think about it .. plus I spend over a $1000 for passes for next season already.

I'm around 1400 on gas and tolls.3,900 on passes and programs last year. 700 probably on new gear. cheaped out this year on gear. Ya bought next years passes already too. Brutal.

Not much here, maybe $800 or so??? That includes 2 passes to Greek and few trios to Whiteface/Gore---we get discounted tickets with our Greek passes.

Probably $3K. 1K gas, 0.7K for boots and fitting, 0.63K Kmart pass, 0.15K other lift tickets, probably 0.4-0.5K for other gear.

Jerry, your time will come. Add 4 new pairs (two for me) of skis, 3 helmets, 1 pair of boots, 4 jackets (3 for wife)...to the mix this year for various family members.

Approximately $450 on lift tickets for 30 days out (no pass, but savings cards for Hunter and Okemo). Didn't count fuel costs, but estimate about $400. Can almost always find a deal, never pay retail for lift tickets. Joining a ski club is also a big help.

1 pair of boots, 2 pairs of skis, new helmet, season pass, numerous lift tickets, tons of gas, lodging.....easily 3-4 thousand. 57 ski days so far. People think I'm a weirdo. Sometimes I think I should have my head examined but I can't seem to stop myself.

Considering I bummed a season out here in Jackson, worked for the mtn, pretty much every dime I spent out here could be considered spent on ski season. Id say if I went by that logic Im at about 12k including rent, travel expenses, 2 new snowboards, prolly 5 or so lift tickets at the ghee, food, bar tabs, etc. Just skiing probably only like a grand including gear as I worked for the hill and got a free pass.

Approximaty $2000 for me.... broken down as:

$1000 in tickets/passes (710 for season pass, plus some tix to Okemo and Stowe)
(of the 50 trips, 42 were at the Bush and covered by my pass in some form or another)

Gear totaled $230... would'a been zero, but a couple late-season (March) purchases included boots and pants. If not on sale, would'a been $400. Never got a wax job or a board tuneup - equipment performed perfect

Gas total... average $10/day, more for Okemo trips... approx $620.

Food and Bev... average $90 total at Bush-bar at Lincoln Peak.. never ate cafeteria food, just a nacho plate or two at Bush plus LOTS of Long Trails. Two Waffle Haus visits at Stowe. Maybe a soda at Okemo.

And for next year, already up to $740 for the Bush-ME+ pass... thinking about maybe a new jacket, otherwise my gear should be set. Will most likely continue to stay local next year, if gas keeps on going the way it is... I'm halfway to Stowe and Bush, about 20 min drive each way. Prefer the Bush of course.

my acountant said i have spent 8,975.22 as of filling day. i still have two more trips out west then chile. plus i need new boots, liners packed out this weekend but 90 days from a pair of boots is good for me. i am also picking up a new alpine board/ setup. also toying with the idea of getting a custom freeride board made by the boys at prior. when all is done and said by the start of next season i will have spent 20 to 25,000. some might think its excessive (most people i know) but the reason i work so hard to make my money is so i can go anywhere at the drop of a hat.
