Was accused of hijacking a thread so I will start my own.

You know your addicted to skiing when:

1. You have to run the AC in the car on the way home from the slopes
2. The lawn needs mowing, but has to wait till the end of the season
3. The leaves don't get raked.
4. You can't take the kids trick or treating because your early season legs are to tired to walk.

Got any others?

You take out another mortgage just to be close to the mountain.

when........

...When you pick up some slate from a small quarry...out in the middle of the woods, wash it off, smooth it out, and plunk it down on a two-hour homemade stand, thus substituting it for one of your nicest tables which you make into the ski tuning center of the house...:daffy:

You board your teenage son at his coach's house for the weekend so he doesn't miss the wrestling match on Saturday....and you don't miss time on the hill.

You count the days until the next season starts.

You check this board 365 days/year.

you gave up any thoughts of a career in the "real" world long ago to work in the ski industry for about half the salary of the same position in the "real" world

you put your child almost as soon as they can walk...to share the addiction

you giggle like a school girl when it snows 2" an hour.

you have more skis than shoes.

I've done 1 - 3 plus:

I've known my water softener was broken since December but I just got it fixed 3 weeks ago because I didn't want the service call to interfere with skiing.

I've put off oil changes and dental checkups.

I check this forum almost everyday.

My son has been on skis since he was 2.
