I was at Shawnee Peak this weekend. Sat was an absolute mob scene. Never seen it so busy. Sunday the crowd was very small. I'd say less than normal for a sunday. I think the forcast for extreme cold plus the games kept them away on sunday.

Mt. Abram Saturday was moderately busy. 10 minute lift line waits a couple of times. Shawnee MLK Monday was very sparse. Zero lift line waits. I am sure the cold kept folks away.

Completely agree with this. Skied Jay both Saturday and Sunday and Sunday I skied on almost every lift whereas Saturday saw some of the longest lines of the season. Sunday was not even that cold. Weather may have been a factor but I think it was more the games. Monday on the other hand was a freezer.

If there where more than 100 skiers on the mountain at Saddleback yesterday, I would be suprised.

Mount Snow had a big crowd on Saturday and per my wife, a moderate one Sunday(average for a Sunday) and I'm guessing from watching the webcam yesterday a big crowd (for a Monday). Once again though another solid weekend of business for them

you couldn't have picked a colder day to ski saddle back could you!

the drive back down i89 and i93 to Boston on Sunday ~6pm was exceedingly light, if that's a barometer. I think Steve's right about Sunday and the games

Saturday was the "busiest" I've ever seen MRG. Still, I would be wrong to call it "mobbed"

Monday at Hunter was mellow. Z Lift at 1:15 pm:

The quad had a bit of a wait, but I skied singles line to get to the upper mountain and then just rode F and Z lift. Z was ski-on for the most part and F had a 3-5 chair wait, tops. Monday was cold, but there was no wind and the bright sun made for a pleasant day.

Pat's was pretty busy on Saturday, but it was mostly due to a large group from a private school in RI. Despite the relative crowd, it never really felt that way on hill until late in the afternoon when the "Poppers" showed-up.

Saturday was packed at Sundown. The busiest I've ever seen it. I didn't get out on the hill, so I can't speak for trail congestion, but the lift lines weren't too long IMO. There was some sort of competition that day so there were a lot of spectators mulling around...

Sugarbush South was packed on Saturday. The Slidebrook Express wasn't running so there was no easy escape to North once the lifts got mobbed. I have never seen so many people waiting for the Super Bravo or the Valley House double. The trail crowds were reasonable with the exception of Birches which was a 'pin ball alley'. Sugarbush had great snow conditions though the natural snow trails were powder over ice and frozen granular.

Okemo on MLK Monday was eerily quiet. Sure the temperatures were brisk, but many of the chirs were ski on and the North Star quad had a four or five chair wait.

I started to see that the reason Saturday was unusually crowded was because most of the dads were trying to finish up family business that day so they can have quality time in front of the plasma TV the following day ;-)

Greg is on the money. I skied mostly off of F lift and skied up to the chair almost every time.

Like Tailsman said Sugarbush was paceked Saturday. It was a lot better on Sunday (especially in the afternoon) and Mad River was completely empty on Monday (in fact it was like having your own private mountain!).

Another Sugarbush report from Lincoln Peak - big crowd on Saturday, above normal on Sunday AM with quiet PM ( cold and game ) and bright sunshine and cold on Monday with no lift lines.

and the weatherscareymen predicted doomsday temperature scenarios for Sunday. Very light traffic down from the north sunday afternoon/evening
