Conditions: chalky blown manmade, styrofoam hardpack and ice. sunny and warm
Trip Report:
Well i couldn't get my ass out of bed till 8 am because the combination of beer and my bed being way to comfy. zipped right up 89 and right thru palenville. got about half way up the ravine and right before the tight turn traffic just stoped. there where cops everywhere and at least 4 ambulances and to truck from the fire department. no idea what was going on but it cost me 20 min. maybe DMC knows what was going on.
booted up and ran over to the ticket area to lend one of jess's friends a pair of pants and some giggles.
went up the summit quad and saw this.
was about a 5 to 6 min wait.
took the quad up and hit minya konka to eastside drive to kennedy to fith ave. that ended up bing the ROTD. chalky man made really nice was really diggin it and my friend jess was doing really well. great confidence builder. she is really starting to get comfy and she is able to keep up with me for the most part unless i let run. got a pick of her in a carve.
next run to the broadway quad up and hit the terrain park. one the kids in the group wanted to get all buttery on the boxes. took some pics on the way up.
did like three runs there then went back to the ROTD. jess got a call so we went and met up with her other friend and did a few runs on the belt. left side like always was soft, the right was hardpack. while it wasn't a complete shitshow it was umm interesting
so here is a better pick of that area that has all those roads going up it. love to know what they where doing there.
called it a day at 3:30 after 11 runs. snaped a few more shots.
got a good sunset.
o what is up with cortina valley is it out of bussines?
then hit traffic around newburg exit 17.
all in all a fun day with some friends. i am fully adjusted to the cold now it was probally around 24 or so and i was chillin with my jacket open. might go back on tuesday.
o and can we maybe increase the number of pic that you can put in a post.
