A fantastic day...
Started a bit late (10:15). At first there was a ridiculous amount of fog hanging over on the East Side and into the bowl, I think I basically skied ESD by feel.
However, after a couple laps in the less foggy areas (Belt, Heuga/Dropoff, and Wayout), the fog started to clear up, and it pretty much went away after lunch, although the sun never really came out. But, it didn't matter, as everything I was on was in great shape, even Belt and Hellgate barely got scraped off in the afternoon.
Never hit Clairs, as I didn't think someone I was skiing with could handle it, Lower Taylor's looks like it would make a very nice poach though, but I didn't want to risk having to take them down Clairs if there was something I couldn't see from the lift on Taylors.
I had a tie for ROTD, between the "reserved" Lower K27, and Heuga/Dropoff. Heuga and Dropoff had perfect snow along the rock face, and Lower K only had a couple tracks, even 5 days after the storm. It had a bit of a crust in the middle, but the sides were great, and all the waterbars on the run-out were covered. No rocks exposed that I saw, although there were a lot of little sticks.
Forgot the camera again, so no pics.
EDIT: Forgot to mention, snowmaking apparently was bored, so they spent most of the morning taking the chunks of snow off the outdoor tables, and making them into a large igloo, it looks very cool.
EDIT2: Upper Hunter One/Highlands looks like it could be open now, I'd be suprised if they don't have it open for christmas.
