Spent the night in the Forrester Lodge.which is still buried, 10 foot mound in front of my door, same as friday morning, same room. Started off with Hellgate which was groomed. i wanted to see how the new boards would do on a groomed surface, they rip, now if it was icey...then headed over to the Cliff which was moguled up and off to Ike which was groomed again. Did a few runs off the face then to racers Edge which was bumped top to bottom. Off to the west side..holy crap what a bump fest. started with clairs, then 44, then Purna, then repeat. These new skis really made it easy as I would have been wiped with my Volkl's. Twin tip, double rocker, 98 underfoot...man it was smooth all the way down. If I din't feel like make a turn they just glided over the bump no matter how huge it was. You could make super G turns in these things. Spent the day back there alternating a few easier runs in between to save the legs. As long as it stays this way and doesn't freeze up it should be sweet for a long time. Spring skiing should be a blast!! Upper and Lower k was a great combo, lower a super steep monster mogul fest. 44 was the killer of the day..damn thing is steep in the middle!!
