I just got back from Vail and Beaver creek, also did Snowbasin and Powder Mountain in Utah in Jan. Vail was great, even after no snow for 4 days. One of the best places I've ever been to. Where are you going?

Right now the plan is one day each at A-Basin, Copper, Breckenridge, Vail and Winter Park (I've never been to WP and I'd like to try MaryJane).

Hit Winterpark 2 years ago. Hope you like the bumpy stuff. Very desolate place, the town is like a strip mall. Going over the pass is fun though. One day at Vail is going to be rough. If you have never been there you won't believe how big it is. Try to spend a half day in the bowls then hit the front. Be ready for the longest traverses ever. See if you can find the cheapest parking, we couldn't so we paid the 25 and velet'd it. We parked at the left most area called Golden Peak, it's the closest to the lifts I think.

I do like bumps thats why I want to try MaryJane. I was at Vail once before and plan on spending as little time as possible on the front side. We're going for the bowls.

On the front try a run called gandy dancer, really long bump run protected by the trees, good conditions in there. I found some of the best conditions on the front but only inside the tree areas. Blue sky basin was also great.
