Fire, I like Fire. Fire Good!

There is a food place accompanied by a good size fireplace right above the marketing department at Cannon. Its at the bottom of the mountain next to the main lodge where the ticketing area is.

DO they let you cook hotdogs?

I'm just kidding really I learned that Mt Snow has a good lodge, there is a greatroom somewhere and Dartmouth Ski Bowl has a study room You can take a nap at Ptarmigans at Attitash. Cannon has a fireplace. wait a minute my taxes are paying for wood... Now I'm pissed

The best place if you want to read while someone is on the hill at Mount Snow, is go over to the Grand Summit Hotel, and in the hallways adjacent to the ski shop, all the way down to and including the main lobby there are many, really comfy couches to sit in and enjoy the relative piece and quiet, especially compared to the main base lodge.

In the main base lodge at Mount Snow, the fire place area is nice, but what's also a great place is climb the stairs that are adjacent to the cafeteria cash registers upto the 3rd floor, and unless it's a busy day the tables and chairs there are usually empty and the view is pretty good to. Plus, if you're there long enough you might even be able to put a face to some of the Mount Snow employees that post here as that's where many of their offices are!

Another hidden quiet place at Mount Snow . . . 1st and 2nd floors of the Grand Summit lobby . . . there is a fireplace and a number of couches chairs around the atrium on floor 1. Note . . the lobby is on the ground floor, so take the elevator up to 1 or 2 . . . there are also some scattered couches throughout the floors on the Grand Summit. Those are generally very quiet.
