I want my kids life.

so i'm sitting here, trying to catch my breath basically from this entire summer. I just realized, starting in May, my kids went to disney for 7 days, 5 days in new hampshire, 1 week at popponesset beach on the cape, another week in eastham on the cape, and 3 days in rhode island camping.

and that isnt even including all the weekend trips to marshfield (mother in laws place near the beach) and the 4th of july weekend on the cape and.......

i dont think they know what its like to stay home anymore. my older daughter was asking me when the next vacation was, 15 minutes after we pulled in the driveway today. I told her, when YOU pay for it.

I want your kids life. I haven't had a weeks vacation since March of 08. 2 four day weekends is it.

No kidding! Will you adopt me? I'll watch your kids so you can go skiing! I haven't gone away on vacation in a year and a half.

I look back on my childhood now and even without the vacations I miss it. There were zero true problems, or responsibilities. And my excitement of how I felt rich mowing my 3 neighbors lawns for a total of $45 every other week.

I'd rather be a grownup....no real rules except for paying my bills and showing up for work...I don't have to go to bed early, no organized sports, as much soda as I want(I was limited when I was a kid), I go on way steezier trips now then when I was a kid and I don't have to be with my parents. Jackson Hole>Disney World......Work>School...no homework and I can surf the internet.

Being a single guy is fun but marriage and children seem really tiring..I wish they had youtube when I was a little kid..way funnier than Americas Funniest Home videos...the only time in my life I'd like to go back to is college..if I could do it again..I wouldn't have had a girlfriend 3/4th of college and hooked up with more ladies..

Each kids goes to overnight camp for a month in the summer and then day camp every other week day till sports start. Vacation consists of X-mass break and Feb vacation week with them.
