Some places in NE would already have over 200". It's been raining just about non-stop here since Friday Night and shows no signs of letting up until Sunday. Temp was in the 70s Saturday, but hasn't broken 50 since (nor has it gone below 45).

Don't kill yourself over it, I used to think that way too.


But it is highly unlikely. For snow to fly in NE, we need a steady supply of cold air from the north and a steady supply of moisture from south/southeast becaues of the geography.

And they have to be perfectly balanced. In other words, this much precipitation indicates a s/se dominating weather pattern, with no wind blowing out of any northerly direction to give us cold air for snow.



I agree though, that would've been pretty sweet.
