If you could move any mountain so that is was right outside your back door, what mountain would you move (assuming that the mountain got the same amount of snowfall, weather, people, etc. that it has now).

Mine:

East: MRG
West: Jackson Hole

Yeah. MRG definitely. It already feels like you're just skiing in a buddy's back yard or something...

Mt. Baker, but since this is an East Coast forum, I'd say that Cannon edges out Yawgoo. However, I have insufficent VT experience and I expect this answer to become "Sugarbush" after next season.

I would move Cannon right next to Jay. I would also move MRG next to Jay too. And then I would widen Smuggs notch slightly by moving Sterling and Madnonna slightly further away from Mansfield.

While I agree w/ andyzee in principle, in a perfect world I would take Whiteface with me wherever I lived and I would pray for more snow each year.
Whiteface has great terrain especially after a big storm.

Well....MRG, but I'd only have to move it 17 miles, so I guess its close enough. I wish I could pick up and move Burke over here. Western area? Alta.

If I had the ability to move mountains then I certainly wouldn't have any problems moving my backyard up to the mountains. MRG would look funny in CT anyway. ;)

Chamonix. Give me an Alp with a glacier and 9000 ft vert.

Located at the foot of Mont-Blanc, Chamonix sits atop the highest peak in the Alps and the second highest in all of Europe. The resort appeals to experts and thrill-seekers alike that enjoy long runs with good snow, and a multitude of cliffs and chutes. There is an abundance of off-piste terrain and guided explorations of chutes, snowfields, glaciers and high bowls. The most well known off-piste run is the 12-mile Aiguille du Midi, that begins up top at 12,606 feet and ends in the valley about 9000 feet below. In addition, Chamonix boasts a vertical drop of 9209 feet and has one of the world's longest runs, Valle Blanch, at 13.7 miles. There are 100 miles of slopes and 47 lifts.

Just drop it down on top of Wachusett.
