Last fall I was asked to be an extra in Taking Woodstock, which just came out on DVD yesterday. If you happen to see the movie look for me front and center at 1:21:25

NewLebanon...love that area skibum9995....beautiful farmland and trout/paddling streams(or at least Used to be..)....any $$$ from the part?
Would I'd enjoy doing Extra parts. Know a fellow that gets extra parts in historical documentaries...ie History Channel...from outside the Boston area. I'm always kidding with him how I'm going to shoot down..and hide in the bushes till the scenes are shot...going to add a little/LOT more reality to the video...really making the History Channel come alive....LOL, although I'd most likely then get hauled off to Cedar Junction or Walpole...etc.

Yeah I got a little bit of cash for my services. I don't really remember but it was about $150ish for a wardrobe fitting and 1 day of shooting.

So, how did this all come about?

Were you just passing through on the Appalachian Trail and the director said, "Hey hiker guy with the beard" "Want a job?"

Thats pretty much exactly what happened. A few of us were taking a day off in Great Barrington, MA and when we went to grab lunch the casting guy came up to us and asked if we wanted to be in a movie. He took our pictures and we filled out the casting info form and about 5-6 weeks later he called and told us to be in NY for a wardrobe fitting on 9/12. We were still hiking at that point so we kicked it into high gear and summited on 9/11, then drove to NY.
