Hmmm I wonder how much of a shit storm this will bring. Went to register my plate and I see there’s a notice effective today September 15 that the license plate club is closed. I have two email correspondences from Indy pass in July. The first asking if my plate name works, “yes it does” And the second saying I requested these two plates, “Great send on photos when you get them”

By chance one plate arrived today, but I have the registration for both from the state. There was a snafu with the second so still waiting on the physical plate.

Just sent an email to Indy with attached photographs of the plate and registrations. I know contract law is a huge branch unto itself and know that I am no lawyer. I also have found what I sometimes think should be the common sense application of the law doesn’t hold. Still it seems there was never a notice that the offer had a limited number. I have correspondence acknowledging my having paid for the plates with the statement that once photos are sent I will receive their end of the contract.

You could see this coming and my stupid state was super slow due to a new plate just being rolled out. I think if they had said at some point, ok this is limited to x number of passes they might have a leg to stand on. That was never said. Of course the ski bum has found a haven in Indypass and who knows how many plates have come in and how many people are waiting for their plate to arrive. Sporting a vanity plate you paid for with the expectation you would receive a pass for, but then not getting it is going to set some folks off.
Wow, I thought about doing this since I've been an Indy holder since it started and really like the product. I never saw a limit on the plate club either. The whole thing didn't make sense since there seems to be plenty of demand for the passes. Why run promotion schemes? I'd be pissed too if I changed my plate and then got shut out.

Montage is back on. Donner Ski Ranch is not a bad addition, I might use that, though we're staying in South Lake Tahoe. Leavenworth upgraded to alpine in addition to the XC. They mentioned they were trying to do that when I was there 2 years ago, said they were not allowed to join the alpine program at the time. Magic Idaho is also a nice addition, close to Pommerell and Soldier.

Finally a Tahoe hill!! I love little DSR too. Turkiye is becoming quite the little resort cluster for Indy.

I skied there with the Snowbomb Card back in 2009 (the only reason I remember the year is because I got married on that trip). That card was quite a deal back then, can't remember details though. Seems like the regional cards have kinda fizzled out a lot. The state association ones are still around though. I did just bought the Wisconsin passport yesterday. Gotta go grab another pinball machine, so why not turn it into a ski trip. Was going to go next year anyway, so I flip-flopped the it with the Quebec trip. Hopefully even more Quebec on Indy next year.

In other news, I guess they liked my XC INDY plate. It got selected to be on the website. I'm going to make a point of it to use it at High Point XC this year.
