Has anybody seen what the 16 new resorts for this year are? I tried to find them yesterday but just kept getting sent to what was added for 25/26 season.

The mandatory $10 for the Indy Card that does absolutely nothing is shameful. Either make it work for at least some of the mountains, or bake it into the price so it's less obvious you are paying $10 for nothing.

I did 2 years on Indy before switching to Ikon the last 2 years and the direct to lift benefit of Ikon is so much better than having to deal with ticket window/customer service with an Indy pass. Maybe it has gotten better over the past 2 seasons but I have waited in significant lines at Jay and Saddleback among others just to reload a card. I also dislike having to keep a stack of mountain specific RFID cards in my boot bag. They really should figure out how to make the Indy card work at all mountain gates and be direct to lift.

But even with those gripes I am probably going to downgrade from full to base Ikon and add Indy back into the mix. I am waiting to see where Ikon renewal rates come in before making a final decision. But between 2 days at Jay and 2 at Saddleback it really pays for itself.
Yeah, the Card thing is gimmicky at best. We hit Saddleback today and they have an online reservation system for Indy (no, you do not need to make a reservation but you can) and online they ask for your Indy Pass #. It gets all setup, show up and hit the little Kiosk outside if you don't have there RFID card already and in 10 seconds, you're on your way. If you already had a SB RFID card, you can reload it with their Indy reservation setup online and go straight to lift in the morning. Wish everywhere that did RFID and Indy offered this!

We have been Indy Base for last 2 seasons as it is a secondary to our Boyne NEP's and local areas to our SR base are not blacked out. Given they held the Indy+ price and raised the base, I raised us up this year as $50 additional was trivial vs $100 last year. My guess is both will increase in cost next year, but this move likely bates many to the +. And with the required auto renews now moving forward, well easier to slip that price creep in.

The new resorts are alpine and xc, listed below. Sign me up!

New alpine resorts for 2026-27 include Les 7 Laux and Valmorel, France;
Levi, Finland;
Stranda Ski Resort, Norway;
Stöten i Sälen, Sweden;
Bergbahnen Hohsaas AG, Switzerland;
Murray Ski Ridge, British Columbia.;
Pebble Creek, Idaho;
Thrill Hills, N.D.

Seven new cross-country ski area partners are Steamboat Ski Touring Center and Haymaker Nordic Center, Colo.; Bethel Village Trails, Franconia Inn & Outdoor Center, and Great Glen Trails Outdoor Center, N.H.; Northern Maine Community Trails, Maine; and The Loppet, Minn.
They are saying they will add more over the summer (as they did last year). Base price has gone up to $349 but still an amazing deal IMO. My wife and I definitely renewing.

License plate club renewal is a little wonky. I only received 1 out of 2 codes so far and my friend didn't receive his yet. They'll probably have to do some cleaning up in the next week or so.

Pebble Creek is a nice addition. Murray Ridge is a cool place. They're making a northern BC trip more tempting.

I'm interested in trying Pebble Creek. FWIW they may not make it through this weekend due to the warm weather, which is very sad.

About the only thing missing from Dartmouth is it could use some more glades. Fantastic terrain otherwise. Though at Burke yesterday I met a guy from Lyme and apparently Dartmouth is allowing locals to work on expanding their tree skiing. There just isn't many people on board helping yet.

Right where I want to be
The nro glade on the Winslow side has multiple ways through it. Some are trails some are glades. There are some on the holt side above the don worden trail but cliffs and then the snow fence along worden makes it suck getting out

Anyone else surprised the base pass increased in price but the plus pass went down. Good for people who can only do weekends and holidays (families like us). But seemingly a creep from the “uncrowded resorts” idea as it gets cheaper to avoid blackouts. I guess just a way to get people to spend a bit more, as the price difference gets less, more people go for the plus pass, so overall more money.
But we renewed. Kids are both into adult pricing now and with other competitive sports having taken priority it’s not worth buying Epic or Ikon these days.
4 more years and both are in college and I can retire to a slopeside condo somewhere….
