Frankly, I hope it's neither! Both have their fair share of gutter-sniping and intolerance of differing points of view - something I've never really experienced in my (admittedly limited, though lurking for a long while) time here.

Both Epic and RealSkiers have a major focus on technical how-to and gear. AZ does very little on those fronts.

2. No "Skiing in the West is so much better" chatter
3. People here don't buy 3 new pairs of skis a year
4. There aren't 10 page threads on skiing technique
