Is either Bretton Woods or Burke verizon-friendly?

Maintaining communication within a big group while on the mountain is always challenging.
We are a group of about five families and trying to choose between Bretton Woods and Burke.
As of last season, Bretton Woods was a complete Verizon deadzone - not just on the mountains but at the bases as well.
Has Bretton Woods become Verizon-friendly this season?
How about Burke?

A few weeks ago I was able to get Verizon service in the parking lot of the base area as well as at the Mt. Washington Hotel. I'm not sure about up on the mountain though

I was up at Burke this summer and recall being able to get Verizon receiption at the base. Didn't go up on the mountain though. Verizon is spotty in that neck of the woods but not non-existent like in the MRV.

Burke should have pretty good verizon cell coverage, the radio towers at the top has verizon antennas

Burke has excellent Verizon coverage. As Dcarbs pointed out the tower at the summit has a VRZ wireless antenna on it. The coverage is very good in Lyndonville as well (handy if someone is in town buying groceries).

Are we talking about the same Burke Mtn here? The one place I could see having bad reception is the Powderhorn condos since they are kind of shadowed by the West Peak. The rest of the mountain has very good reception. I'm able to coordinate meetups all the time on the upper mtn and I know I've use my phone at the base lodge.

I skied at BW this past weekend and had multiple bars all over the mountain. I don't like to ski with my mobile on but it was very helpful for logistics!

Is your carrier Verizon?
A friend of mine who had T-Mobile had no problem at BW last year. Only Verizon got no reception.

I've had service at BW with both Verizon and T-Mobile. Obviously, some areas are better than others, with the tops being best, but even the base lodge does okay.

+ 1. Except for a part of the Fox's, good reception overall.

I'm late to this thread but I skied Bretton Woods with my GF today. She's got Verizon, I've got Sprint and we both had great reception. I seem to remember us having much worse luck last year. Maybe something has been changed.

+1 both my GF and I skied Bretton on Saturday and had no problems contacting each other from both lodge and up the mountain using Verizon phones (Blackberries).

Went from Attitash to 93 last week. My wife was on the phone and the only area we consistently got reception was coming out of the notch and through Bretton Woods. As we decended to Twin Mountain, though, the reception was gone until we got near Cannon.

This was on AT&T - but we have used Verizon in the past at the Mt. Washington and at Bretton Woods and it has been fine.
