I guess it's not "official" by the marketing Dept yet , I'll be more careful using the word "official" in my future postings.

But this was also just posted on MountSnowzone.com by Vinny Vincenzo "Just spoke to the Season's Pass Office. They'll be open on Saturday at 07:30 and the lifts start running at 08:00."

Looks like people that work there think it's going to happen.

It's not "official" by the senior management here at the resort. Yes, we've stated for over the course of the week that opening Saturday is our goal, and staff has been told to prepare as if we will be open Saturday morning, but there is still is a chance that we will not.

Damn, I'm booked the next 2 weekends. Going on an Exotic car rally the 18th, 100 Lambos, Ferraris, and whatever else shows up. I of course will be at the back of the pack.

Let's hope you can pile up enough snow Chris, first in Vermont is going to draw more attention than you could ever buy.

I think lots of folks have their fingers crossed!

I guess we should get some type of Alpinezone.com stickers, I know it was talked about previously, did anyone ever get some made?

This is just a cool pic, with none other than Tim Boyd himself with his back facing the camera in this pic on the hill with the snowmakers and apparently he's been lugging hoses with the crew the last couple of days!

Mt. Snow opened for tomorrow

7 trails!!!

Now, I have a question... I am planning to be there for Thanksgiving (2 nights). Inn at Mt. SNow looks great from what I can see on their website. Any opinions about it?

Neat. Tim is a hands-on guy, for sure. I could tell simply by shaking his hand...

Mount Snow Tomorrow - OFFICIAL

It's official. You will be skiing or riding Mount Snow tomorrow at 8 a.m. (well, 8:06 if you count the lift ride).

Let's hear it for November 2007, bestowing solid cold temps and allowing us to blow tons of snow with our new fan guns, scoring us our earliest opening since 1998.

So what's going to be open? About 150 guns are cranking out snow as we speak, and they'll keep at it until we open tomorrow. Macho Snowmakerman Randy Barrows has assured me a nonstop onslaught all day and night tonight on Upper Canyon, Canyon, Standard, Launch Pad, Long John, Nugget and, oh yes… our new terrain park Vermontster. There'll be no connection from the summit to Carinthia, so park over there if you're looking for freestyle terrain. We'll be servicing beginner terrain on Launch Pad, with intermediate to advanced terrain from the summit. The Nitro lift will be open at Carinthia, servicing a run down Long John and into Vermontster (Gaitor hopes to get at least a half dozen rails and boxes out). The Canyon Express lift will also be turning if you need to get your legs back on Standard before heading up to the top on the Grand Summit Express quad. From the summit, you can take the Canyon/Standard route (top to bottom skiing on Nov. 10, say yeahhhh!).

Carinthia base lodge, Main Base lodge, and the Summit lodge will all be open, serving a limited menu. Backside Snowboard shop is open - go see Ben and Co. for some ill gear.

No, I will not pinch you. This is not a dream. You will be carving corduroy this weekend.

Luke

You are all scum. employees are blacked out both sat and sun so I will have to wait. I heard a rumor of $49 lift ticket but don't take that as concrete. I also heard rumors of 2 buses from UVM, multiple other groups including Stratton Mountian School buying passes to mount snow rather then group day tickets as they have in the past.

Have fun you scum.

outside Boston nowadays
I'm looking forward to being there tomorrow morning early. I notice that there is a new traffic flow, enter via north entrance now. I have always gone in via Handle road, so I guess everything will feel different.
