...grooming tonight. Seemed like at least 10" on upper mountain when I came down at about 11:30. Still falling HARD! Nice fluffy snow. Windy, but not nearly as heavy as last night. I couldn't even tell that I had groomed! By the time I'd get to the bottom of a run and turn around, my last pass was already filling in. :D Only about 4-5" at the base, but still snowing.

Tomorrow's gonna be epic! Three powder days in a row! Let's keep the trend rolling!

:snow: :spread:

I have no idea if it snowed like this anywhere else. It wasn't supposed to snow more than 1-3" in residual, but it was very much whiteout conditions nearly my whole shift. Probably averaging 1 to 1.5" an hour. Wasn't showing any signs of letting up at midnight. Don't know if it was localized orographic snow, or if it was an unexpected storm that popped up. Who knows. Can't speak for anywhere else, but the Bush is getting dumped on! I'll be interested to see the snow report in the AM. Based on the size of the windrow coming out on the unfinished side, there had to be 10". There was at least 4" at mid-mountain when I got out to clean my wipers around 7:00.

I'll be up there in morning!

So many choices so little time.

Wow, when a blizzard came in at about 3PM yesterday I figured it would just be another cake frosting, maybe 6". Was amazed to see a reported 16" at the summit. Just when we needed more snow we got it, in spades. I feel another 300"+ season is underway. Hope others were blessed as well. Have a great day!

Doesn't look like anyone else fared as well. Places north and south are only reporting 4-6". I can already hear the doubters condescension about the "Sugarbush yard stick."

I'll take my camera and measuring tape this morning and get you some hard evidence! I assure you that there is probably more than the reported 16" if it kept snowing the way it was when I left. And it's still snowing pretty hard at the house!

Leaving now......... powder to ski.........

Today was unbelievable - any report of 16" up top is no exaggeration! My guess is that it was even deeper in places around the mountain. Totally fluffy and light snow, temps in the twenties and sunshine. I recommend calling in sick on Monday.....

can i shoot myself for living in new jersey. don't get me wrong i love it here but last couple of years we've been getting hosed on the storms. when i first moved up here in 95, that winter we had snow every wed and sat. like clock work. we had a blizzard with 30 inches in west milford. they had to bring in front loaders to clear the roads. i was stuck for 3 days. it was great. new york stopped. i live 15 mins from mountain creek, can the gods shine on me once this season, please! come to think of it i think 95 was an el nino year, do i have to wait for that to happen again!. ok i feel better now. thanks for letting me vent.

Measured 19" at the top of Brambles around 9:30AM. I picked a spot that I knew had been well packed the previous day, and found about 19". I have the picture for proof, but I'm far too tired for that right now. Long night. Need sleep. Tomorrow.

Well since you live in NJ..you have no excuse not to drive up north whenever it dumps..it's your choice to live in the Garden State..

yeah i guess so but, it's not always so easy just to blow off work. i'm not independently wealthy like some. (but f__king close lol! yeah right!) seriously, i picked times when i can go but my timing i guess is off this year. i went to hunter, okemo, mrg, and killington this year, but not just before, during, or after storms. just frustrated. we need a dump in these here parts! by the by at least i've never have to worry about getting pulled over by redcoats like in penn. i can't believe that happen to you, totally absurd if you were skiing on a non beginner run and under control, who are those nazi's out there? what happened to the margaret thatcher mom photo?
