Just thought I'd share an awesome customer service story regarding Jansport. Bought a wheeled 28" duffel from Steep and Cheap back in January of 2006 and while vacationing in Aruba in November the handle broke off. Called Jansport who told me to ship the bag to them. They called me back a few weeks later to tell me that they could not fix the bag and do not make that type of bag anymore and told me to go online and choose ANY bag on their website in its place.

Bottom line is for a $60 bag I chose the 30" Gear Logic rolling duffel ($249) as a replacement at no charge and they shipped it for free! Just received it today in time for my 2/2 SLC trip. It is a GREAT bag!

Great service from a great company!

Just wanted to share...

I had good luck with my two Jansport bags.

The Backpacker External Frame is a great bag at the price. Made in the USA. My Takoma Bag was with me for everyday from 1996 through January 2006. 10 years for a rucksack is amazing...high school, college, travel, and one semester of law school. Can't knock that.
