it's always nice when a jet's web site runs an article saying the jets will win. These are the patriots we're talking about. They WIN during snow. A team that is 3-10 is not going to suddenly win b/c it's snowing. The pats have more talent than the jets, period. They'll win during the snow too.

There was another snow job going on yesterday: The Patriots were trying to convince the media that this is just another game. But didn't the Patriots say the Steelers were just another opponent, too, only to parade into the locker room after a 34-13 victory and boast they had sent a message to safety Anthony Smith, who had predicted a victory?

When confronted with that yesterday, Rodney Harrison bristled: "You ain't going to bait me into saying anything," the Pats safety said.

"I'm not trying to bait you," the reporter said. "I want to know why we should believe you when you said the same thing before the Steelers game."

"Is that all? I'm done," Harrison said.

The interview was over. Hey, sometimes you just can't snow people.

does this make any sense to anyone? A smart-mouth rookie mouthed off claiming a win. his team lost. and the patriots, always humble, we're saying that they'd sent a message to a team that had claimed they were going to win. I see no point to what the reporter wrote.

The Pats will still win convincingly, but I don't think it will be as big of a blowout as it would have been without the snow.

Did this guy do any research before he wrote this article?

So far this season, nice weather has helped the Patriots switch from the trampling ground attack of three Super Bowl championships to an offense that runs the ball ... oh, every time Halley's comet flies past.

The only Superbowl year they had a "Trampling ground attack" was 2004 with Corey Dillon. 2001 was decent with Antowan Smith but 2003's ground game sucked. The 2007 team is only 129 yards away from the 2003 team with three games left. Their leading rusher this year is Maroney and he is only 113 yards from Smiths 2003 totals.

Previously unstoppable Randy Moss is trying to run deep routes in snowshoes. Little Wes Welker is stuck in a snowbank. Laurence Maroney is spinning his wheels, and Tom Brady's passes are sailing like Tim Wakefield wild pitches.

Seems to me like snow is good for a short quick passing game. The D can't get a good pass rush and the DB's have a hard time covering the WR's. Someone like "Little Wes Welker" , a possession receiver, could have a monster game in those conditions.

Hey Kevin Manahan, Don't let the facts get in the way of a good story.
