I'll be staying up late, provided it is clear. Camping chairs in driveway, beer in gloved hand.
Moon sure was bright last night.

My ten year old daughter is staying up with me to watch this. She thinks it's unbelievable. So do I, really! I think seeing and talking about an eclipse is one of the best ways for a kid to really get sense of the structure of the solar system. You really have to grasp the orbit of the earth around the sun and the moon around the earth to get a sense of what is happening. 10 minutes to totality - got to go, bye!

We have clear skies here too, but it's 19F. I just showed the eclipse to my son and the moon has a red tint to it.

Clouds appeared right as it started. Got a glimpse or two, but by 9:15 we were socked in by the lake effect. Watched cam from Argentina:

Actually watched it from a plane window last night while blasting Dark Side of the Moon on the IPod during it's waning... And was driving on 87 druing it's waxing so I really could watch... but it was pretty cooll
