I grew up here....and live here but when it comes down to it, we're just kidding ourselves out here in the east. I mean look Jay gets one storm at the end of April and the place goes crazy. But this was just another day out in Little Cottonwood Canyon:

Snowbird Weather Report as of 6:15 p.m. 4-29-10

New Snow
12hr 24hr 48hr Mid-Mtn depth Yr.-Date
15" 19" 23" 123" 528"

There is just no place like it if you want consistent great snow on great terrain. Nothing.

Meh. Take it to 10. We have much less useful things to discuss here in 12.

Plus there are too many people in Utah.

It took me a minute to figure out what the hell you were talking about...

This vid from the recent dump at Sugarloaf looks awesome, especially the tree skiing at the end:

So why do you live here?

It must really be awful to wake up every morning thinking its so much better somewhere else.

Do poor new england a favor and GO WEST, you can bitch about how much greener it is in the east or some other amazing insight you might have on a western ski forum.

I agree with you. Winter weather in the NE sucks for skiing compared to the West. It gets frustrating.

But according to Kingdom-tele we're not allowed to do that.:roll::blink:
While I share your enthusiasm on the snow out west, I second Kingdom-tele.

The only thing worse than the east coast winter is all the bitching about it, from both non-skiers bitching about too much snow, and skiers bitching about not enough of it.

Whatever happens to being at peace with your environment?
