As a man what are things you have observed that are attributes of most skiers/riders of the fairer sex?

They won’t ski in the cold. If they do they complain about it every run.

Come on now, do we have to be so PC all the while that we have to pretend there are no differences between the sexs? Of course there are. This is a skiing forum so lets talk about some. If we are off base the ladies will straighten us out.

I prefer to call them monuments at least around customers..it makes them feel better when they write a check for several grand as opposed to a tombstone/gravestone..

On topic..

Woman skiers prefer Hot Chocolate to beer when skiing..I just feel like warm beverages are a woman thing..maybe because most women are always cold..while I want some gatorade or beer..

with over a decade of bootfitting in my prior ski industry exploits I can say that women DONT complain any more than men do when it comes to their boots. They're also much more likely to be honest about their skill level...I never met a woman who tried to convince me she was an "expert" skier when she only skied 4 days a year, preferred the middle of the trails to the sides, didn't ski bumps, and couldn't remember what kind of skis she currently owned.
In general, I'd also say they're more social, get colder earlier, smell better after a day on the hill and look MUCH better in the hot tub than the men.

in bootfitter's lingo they're called "athletic calves"...beats getting kicked in the teeth by someone wearing ski boots!

Here's one. The women who skis and is looking for a partner has her choice of about 50 million men. The man has his choice of about 100 women. My wife (a skier thank god) has told her single girl friends that ski areas are great places to meet men. Unfortunately few of them listen. I know at least 10 guys who used to ski and no longer do because they married women who would rather go to the beach.

I don't ski with many women...so, like Old Snowboarder (but not exactly like him)...I'll stick to what little I've seen.

Of the seven women I've skied with...let's see....three, maybe four are more into it than me and ski better (maybe not faster).

The other three women don't really ski much so...they are prolly like a lot of people who don't ski much...it's "something" to do vs "the thing" to do.

I've skied with mixed couples a few times and at the end of the day, it seems almost as many of the guys want to "call it" as the gals. In those few opportunities...the guys fell into the category of "something" vs "the thing" to do.

SO....maybe I should have been "just like" Old Snowboarder. *smirk*
